METALCORE. The AUTUMN OFFERING has resurfaced with an album so dark and furious, it is bound to quake the current Metal landscape. "Same" consists of blazing, technical guitar riffs and wailing solos, backed by a punishing rhythm section, capped off with the hauntingly-personal and chillingly-spiteful vocals fans have come to admire. PUNK-ROCK. BLACK KEYS debut album "The big come up", released in 2002 by Alive records. Remember when you had to have talent to be in a band? Recall the days when you had to have chops to play the guitar. Think about music that had distinctive vocals that you could identify the band instantly; people like Howlin' Wolf and Otis Redding fall indelibly into this category. Since Punk, the feeling and sound that any schlub can make music has perpetuated music. And while numerous amazing bands have sprung up due to this belief, don't forget the piles of junk that seep out of your speakers more often than not. Personally, I long for music that is so defined that you can only find it on oldies stations these days. Enter Akron, Ohio's the BLACK KEYS. Sure, Akron is nowhere near the Mississippi Delta, but that doesn't mean there isn't Blues there. Actually, rumor has it that singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach lived in the Delta for some time learning from Fat Possum bluesman T-Model Ford while sleeping on his floor. At any rate, soul is not something you can learn, even by sleeping on James Brown's floor, it has to come naturally. And the KEYS have bucket loads of soul.

HARDCORE. BLA'STING CONCEPT is a new band hailing from Santa Barbara, CA that has been taking the local scene by storm. Taking notes from local legends like R.K.L. and drawing influence from local neighbors like ANNIHILATION TIME and AGRESSION and a heavy worship of BL'AST! and BLACK FLAG make this 7 song 12"ep a perfect combo. HORROPUNK. HARDCORE. CORNERED started late 2008 after the demise of some previous bands, to play in-your-face Hardcore. Early 2009 a demo was recorded, which was received very well and shows with for example Cold World and Have Heart followed as well as a crazy European tour with Deal With It from the UK. And also CORNERED recorded 2 songs for a split EP with COLD SNAP, which was released in September 2009. Now is the time to push things to the next level with "Living the lie". METALCORE. Releasedate for Vinyl 14.09.2010. For most bands, going the concept record route can be a tricky proposition. There’s always the potential you’ll get bogged down by that one idea and end up taking the whole thing way too seriously. You risk coming across as trite when you churn out epic full lengths with a dozen tracks about unicorns and minotaurs. But leave it to a band like crushing American Metal six-piece The DEVIL WEARS PRADA to take the concept album model and raze it. Leave it to The DEVIL WEARS PRADA, voted 2009’s “Band of the year” by the readers of Alternative Press to make concept records badass again. Pardon the pun, but for THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, 2009 was one hell of a year. And it was late in 2009 that the band’s front man Mike Hranica decided, while on a tour of the United Kingdom with post hardcore luminaries ENTER SHIKARI, that before they’d write and records a new full-length, they’d release a 5-song EP. The concept? “The whole thing is just completely based upon zombies.

POST-ROCK. "The end of the beginning" is their debut which features 11 tracks recorded during 2002 to 2004. If you like EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY, RED SPAROWES, THIS WILL DESTROY YOU, MOGWAI, you will definitely enjoy this album. Limited to 500 copies on 180gr vinyl.

POST-PUNK. Influenced by similarly all-female Punk and Post-Punk acts like The NEO BOYS and KLEENEX, GRASS WIDOW also note Roy Wood's The Move and The Kinks as a major source of inspiration. This can all be heard on "Past time" along with the three-part harmonies, complex arrangements and odd chord progressions. GRASS WIDOW is also influenced by a legacy of women who have paved the way through their music and politics. Their collaborative songwriting process, the fact that they don't have a front person and that they all equally contribute to the work of the band speaks to this philosophy. In addition, they take the opportunity as an all female band to bring attention to the roles of spectacle and spectator in their scene and make a conscious effort to play shows where women are involved.

HARDCORE. Their highly anticipated fifth studio album titled "Nothing to prove", hardcore punk legends H20 are back with their new material! H2O's "Nothing to prove" is not a comeback. This is a statement of everything H2O has accomplished in almost 15 years together and where they're headed in the future - and it’s nothing short of incredible. INDIE-ROCK. The Indie trio eloquently reproduces the mesmerizing magic from their appraised live-shows, and every track showcases different dimensions to the band, from frantic tantrums to the subdued, from the minimalistic to the majestic. OLD-SCHOOL HARDCORE. Take a trip to memory lane in Dutch Hardcore and reminisce one of the most promising bands from the Netherlands in the last decade. It was 2003 when a young band called ICEPICK put out a demo on Discontent Records. The 5 songs inspired by bands like CRO-MAGS, BAD BRAINS and the ICEMEN turned many people’s head. Numerous shows throughout Europe followed and meanwhile the band got picked up by Not Just Words Records for their debut CD "Goldrush". This simply was the perfect follow up to their amazing demo. Some more ICEMEN and later-era CRO-MAGS influences were thrown in the mix, and all songs were delivered with so much precision, the harsh riffs, precious drum fills, the guitarsolos and the honest lyrics, you just had to bang your head to this one… "Goldrush" got a lot positive feedback. On some trip to the UK, singer Emiel also noticed that there were 2 songs still unreleased, that ICEPICK would love to get out. So here we go!
