Hier nun das 2. Album der kalifornischen Yaphet Koto. 10 neue, powervolle, melodische Hardcore Songs, dessen Energie und Emotion durch die zwei Gitarren und dem Doppelgesang erst richtig zur Geltung kommt. Mit das beste was Ebullition in der letzten Zeit veroeffentlicht hat.

Aus Santa Cruz, Kalifornian kommt Yaphet Kotto mit ihrem ersten Release, auf dem es 9 Songs gibt. Ihre Musik ist perfekt auf Ebullition Records zugeschnitten. Schoener Scream-Emo Hardcore mit zwei Gitarren und doppelter Gesangsattacke.

Das bereits dritte full-length Album der Kalifornier beginnt mit einem langen und rockigen Instrumental. Darauf folgt ''We bury...'' eingelautet durch einen langen, ruhig depressiven Part, der sich dann zu einem Wutausbruch steigert. Wie bei YAPPHET KOTTO zu erwarten, halten sie den hohen Standard und bleiben ihrer Rezeptur von ruhigen und harten Parts, Melodie und Haerte, Straightness und Verschrobenheit treu. Die 10 neuen Songs stecken wieder voller Emotionen, kommen aber trotzdem sehr aggressiv rüber. Im Vergleich zu frueheren Releases auf jeden Fall haerter (Songs wie ''Chime the day'') und duesterer, aber auch ausgreifter. Die CD kommt sehr liebevoll aufgemacht, die LP dafuer mit groesserem Booklet. Darin schoene Fotos von einem alten Friedhof.

Bei YEAR FUTURS aus Los Angeles treffen zu gleichen Teilen Frueh 80er California-Punkrock und New Wave zusammen, laut Info eine Mischung aus Dead Kennedys und Joy Division. Beides stimmt und doch wieder nicht. Der hallige Sound erinnert schon an die 80er Jahre und der Gitarrensound an East Bay Ray, ebenso die monoton nach vorne treibenden Basslaeufe, die zusammen mit dem Schlagzeug ein festes Fundament aufbauen, das man mit JOY DIVISION in Verbindung bringen kann. Der Gesang allerdings ist viel moderner, erinnert an AT THE DRIVE IN, wechselt also zwischen schreien und diesem ''Ueber der Musik schweben''. Wirklich eine komische, aber irgendwie auch sehr gelungene Mixtur, die die Band zu etwas besonderem macht. Die 12'' kommt in 80er Jahre Maxi LP-Cover und in farbigem Vinyl.

Dies ist das zweite Album der Amis. Zu hören gibt es Melodic Death Metal, ähnlich, wie ihn auch BEYOND THE SIXTH SEAL oder FAUST AGAIN spielen.

HARDCORE-PUNK. With a sizeable emphasis on fun, Daytona, Florida's YEARS FROM NOW take a chapter or two from the books GORILLA BISCUITS and LIFETIME wrote about combining simple melodies with hardcore punk. This disc includes ten unreleased tracks as well as tracks from a demo and 7" totaling nineteen altogether.

CRUST-PUNK. SAND CREEK MASSACRE (Holland) and YEARS OF DECAY (France) deliver the goods here - D-Beat and Crust to the max! YOD belt out 6 "songs" of Anarcho Crust-Hardcore with angry female vocals and on the othert side you get 4 melodic and epic Crust tracks from SCM.

METALCORE. Smashing their way out of the Garden State since their uprising in 2004, YEARS SPENT COLD has proven themselves as a blunt relentless force throughout the hardcore/metal community. Solidifying their posture through the combination of current death metal intensity and underlining classic New Jersey hardcore attitude, their sound is uncompromised. With a number of tours already under their belt, YEARS SPENT COLD is ready to tear through any obstacle in their way. Their Eulogy Recordings debut full-length "Moving heaven to hell" will serve as a testament to the bands ferocious sound and steadfast dexterity.

POST-PUNK. Moderner und tanzbarer Sound in Richtung PANTHERS oder LIARS mit 90er Jahre Emo und DC-Touch, nicht unaehnlich FUGAZI. Alles schoen catchy, mit rhythmischen Drums und Keyboards und mitreissendem Gesang von Steven Chamberlain, damals bei TORCHES OF ROME taetig. Insgesamt 10 Songs.

Fueled by whiskey and beer, YESTERDAY'S RING decided to start writing folk/country songs influenced by a mix of BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, JOHNNY CASH and punk-heroes like Tim Armstrong of RANCID, Joe Strummer of THE CLASH and Shane Macgowan of THE POGUES. Country, Folk, Rock, Pop, Punk and influenced by the greatest songwriters of our time like Bruce Springsteen,Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Steve Earle, & Shane Macgowan.

COUNTRY-PUNK. Yesterday's Ring is the alt-country alter ego of Fat Wreck recording artist, the SAINTE CATHERINES. They call Montreal home and this single is just a taste of what you can expect from their upcoming album. The single features the first single, “Punx, not dead, it’s just sleeping” on the A-side and an unreleased non-album track, “Red underwear & cheap cigars”.

YESTERDAYS RISING ist definitv wieder was für die THRICE Fraktion unter Euch. Gekonnt verbinden sie Metalcore mit Emocore. Der typische Wechsel zwischen Geschrei und cleanen Vocals, kurze Doublebassatacken und melodische Gitarren, die ein wenig nach HOPESFALL klingen, sind der Hauptbestandteil dieser 5 Songs. Fans von THRICE, HOPESFALL, THURSDAY und FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES koennen hier bedenkenlos zugreifen.

PUNK. Two songs of melodic hc/punk akin to LIFETIME and LATTERMAN. Members of HYPATIA, PISSED JEANS, RAMBO, and the GATE CRASHERS came together in the spring of 2006 to form this band. After a demo and one tour, the drummer moved to Pittsburgh to further his veggie oil conversion business and the bass player dropped out in favor of his college obligations. Thankfully, brothers Kevin (OFF MINOR) and Steve Roche (OFF MINOR, AMATEUR PARTY, SAETIA) stepped up and filled out the lineup. They are currently writing for a full-length that should be released early 2008. There are 600 copies of this 7" and all the covers are hand screenprinted.
