HARDCORE-PUNK. S.B.V. - Silent But Violent - a name that somewhat contradicts the music and message of the band it's used to describe. "Raw nerve," their debut on Mankind Records, is 14 tracks of hardcore/punk that musically echoes the anger and rage of early '80s acts such as BAD RELIGION, 7 SECONDS and UNIFORM CHOICE, making them anything but "silent." And with intelligent and thought-provoking lyrcis, S.B.V. are also the furthest thing from "violent," as the topics they cover lend themselves towards a thematic whole that is ultimately paranoid, fightened and critical of the world around us.

HARDCORE-PUNK. S.B.V. started in 2002 and so far they have released a full length CD on Mankind Records and a couple of 7inches. The "Swallow the pill" EP contains 6 songs, a modern day version of UNITY, UNI'FORM CHOICE, 7 SECONDS, or DAG NASTY played with so much heart and a positive vibe!

HARDCORE. SMD are long standing veterans of the East L.A./SoCal hardcore scene. They have been involved in this area for over 17 years, playing and setting up shows for hundreds of bands from around the world. Their insane style of hardcore has won over many fans, using a raging fast mixture of old SUICIDAL TENDENCIES/D.R.I. and NO MERCY that holds true to their roots in the crossover/thrash scene.

THRASH METAL. "Speak english or die" was the first studio album by the crossover thrash band STORMTROOPERS OF DEATH (S.O.D.). After ANTHRAX finished recording "Spreading the disease," there still was some studio time left, so Scott Ian and Charlie Benante called some friends, practiced some songs and recorded it all within a week. It was released in 1985 and re-released on the Megaforce label in August 1995. Now available again on vinyl.

Treibender und einfallsreicher Boston Hardcore, der an SUICIDE FILE und MODERN LIFE IS WAR erinnert. Mit dabei sind Mitglieder von CRUNCH TIME. Die 6 Songs sind sehr eingaengig und krachig produziert, die Riffs erinnern stark an die 80er, als noch klar war, dass der Hardcore vom Punk abstammt. Des Saengers Stimme ist rau, kraechzend und schmutzig. Dazu gibt es sehr intelligente, persoenliche lyrics, die das Ganze zu einer runden Sache machen. Einfaches, liebevolles und sehr ungewoehnliches Layout Gefaelt gut und laesst auf mehr hoffen.

Short for Skinheads Still Scare People, S.S.S.P. are a project band featuring good friends and longtime NYHC scenesters Mike D (CR, Celebrity Murders) and Vinnie Value (Kill Your Idols, Warzone, No Redeeming Social Value). The boys play a traditional streetwise style of hardcore with oi influences that brings to mind KILL YOUR IDOLS, WARZONE, AGNOSTIC FRONT and other legendary groups.

Bei SACRIFICE POLES handelt es sich um ein Nebenprojekt von CAVE IN. Die Songs auf dieser CD entstanden während der Aufnahmen zu ''Jupiter''. Zu hören gibt es hier low-fi-psychadelische, instrumentale Songs. Anhören tut sich das ganze als wenn man am Tag zuvor etwas zuviel getrunken hat.

PUNK. Auf der ersten Veröffentlichung von SUPER KAMIOKANDE DETECTOR erwarten euch zwei Jenaer Szeneurgesteine. Einmal treffen 8 abgefahrene, dreckige und nachvornegehende Songs der 3 thüringschen Rednecks SAD NEUTRINO BITCHES auf 9 feine hawaiianische Brefreiungspunkrockhymnen von PAUL HARBOUR. Bei SNB hört man sehr die Einflüsse aus der Raw-Power-Ära und aus der Zeit der Crypt-Records-Bands sowie des 77er Punkrocks heraus. Bei Vergleichen kommt man wohl an ZEKE nicht vorbei. Und das ganze passt sehr gut in die Schublade LoFi-Primitive-Highspeed-Garagenrock´n´Roll-Punk. Das PH hawaiianischen Brefreiungspunkrock spielen, behaupten die Jungs zumindest von sich selbst. Allerdings scheint, dass sie eher im Deutschpunk so zwischen Müllstation und Razzia anzusiedeln sind. Das ganze kommt in einem sehr eindrucksvollem farbigen Klappcover als fettes 180g Vinyl mit A4-Einleger und einem Aufkleber von den Bitches.
