Nach einem Intro, der ihrem Namen alle Ehre macht, legt die Band auf ihrem full-length Debut mit ''Can't stop the Rock'' los, ein treibender Hardcorekracher mit aggressivem Gesang, gefolgt von 10 weiteren Songs, die alle eher im mid-tempo Bereich liegen, immer wieder eine rockige Gitarre mit einbauen und sehr, sehr gute Texte haben. Lediglich der Gesang wird auf Dauer etwas nervig, da er selbst in melodioesen Stuecken, wie ''Gone'' ueberhaupt nicht variiert, sondern stumpf die Bruellschiene weiterfaehrt. Ansonsten recht gelungen. Auch das Mafia-Cover. Daumen nach oben!

Nachdem ich ehrlich gesagt ueberhaupt gar nichts von dieser Truppe bis dato kannte, muss ich schon zugeben, dass sich hier ein Ueberraschungseffekt eingestellt hat. INDIE-ROCK. This album originally came out in 1999 and Polyvinyl now decided to repress it. "Look now look again" set the high standard for which RAINER MARIA will always be viewed. Anyway this full-length is great, regardless if you like indie-rock or not. It's more of an indie-pop album. The singing is singing, not screaming. The melodies are memorable and pleasant for emo. RAINER MARIA throws in a little math-rock and does a a few complicated tempo changes which makes this album an interesting listen. LP is on premium 180gr vinyl and includes a digital download code.
