Ganz in der Tardition von Bands wie den SUBHUMANS geben sich die Schotten auf dieser 7inch, auch wenn der Titeltrack ''Hate this city'' waehrend des Refrains sehr Oi! lastig nach COCK SPARRER klingt. Zum Text gibt es dann Erklaerungen der einzelnen Ausdruecke wie ''Jakeys'', ''Neds'' oder ''Glasgow kiss''. Das an RANCID erinnernde ''18P1984'' erklaert dann sehr amuesant, warum man eine Band gruendet und mit ''Joe Public''wird's dann auch mal politisch, aber nicht minder eingaengig. Die Fastcore-Goetter aus Texas nun endlich auch fuer all diejenigen, die keinen Plattenspieler besitzen. Die CD enthaelt die kompletten 11 Songs der selbstbetitelten 7'' und als Bonus noch eine unveroeffentlichte Studiosession, die wohl exklusiv fuer die Tour 2004 eingespielt wurde. Dazu gibt es noch das Demo von 2003 in typischer Demoqualitaet und ein Liveset aus dem Jahre 2003, welches qualitaetsmaessig nicht optimal ist, aber gerade noch so durchgeht.

PUNK. The Ska-Punks announced late last year that they were working on a Greatest Hits album to be released in 2010, which would be followed by a new studio album. MAD CADDIES have given their fans the chance to vote for their favourite tracks to be released on the greatest hits album titled “Consentual selections”. The album is made up of 22 fan-picked and previously released tracks, as well as 2 newly recorded songs. The album will also include photos of the band and a booklet with commentary of each track from the members of the band.
