Nachdem sich JANE im Jahre 2001 leider aufloesten, haben sich alle Mitglieder im Herbst 2003 nochmal zusammengetan und beschlossen, eine neue Band zu gruenden. Das A und das E mussten weichen, so dass J'N uebrigblieb. Erst erschien ein 4-Song-Demo und nun das erste Full Length der Band in der neuen Besetzung und unter neuer Flagge. Geboten wird hier acht mal walzender Metalcore, der vom Riffing und der Umsetzung her sofort an Bands wie AT THE GATES und IN FLAMES denken laesst. Schwedische Metalgitarren treffen auf walzende Doublebassattacken. Die Herren scheuen sich aber auch nicht davor, gelegentlich noisigere Elemente a la SEX POSITIONS einfliessen zu lassen, wie etwa bei ''No revolution?!''. Alles in allem ein solides und sehr gelungenes Metalcore-Werk, mit dem Fans von AS I LAY DYING oder auch CONVERGE sicherlich schnell warm werden.

POST-ROCK. The members of J.A.C.K. met in music school and that pedigree is evident within every song, morphing and building in beautiful destruction. Zusammenstellung aller Veroeffentlichung dieses Glatzkopfes und seiner Band, die sich in den fruehen 80ern gruendeten und deren erste Single ''I kill hipies'' / ''Mind loot'' laut Booklet zu den Top 100 der besten Punksingles aller Zeiten des Spin Magazines zaehlt. Bacchus Archives, bzw. Dionysus Rec. haben jetzt alle Songs ausgegraben ( insgesamt 16 Stueck), die allesamt stark in die klassische 77er Punk-Richtung gehen. Drei der spaeteren Songs wurden von Andy Shernoff (DICTATORS) produziert. Zusammen mit NO ALTERNATIVE und DENNIS MOST eine feine Sache fuer alle, die auf klassischen, gitarrenlastigen Punksound stehen und mal ne neue alte Band kennenlernen wollen.

PUNK/INDIE. JACUZZI BOYS are back with their characteristic mellow, almost quiet delivery...with an acoustic foundation this time. It's almost surprising to hear all the space here in the recording and instrumentation. They leave a lot of space to breath. The more I hear this, the more I'm getting like a Velvet Underground feeling...that far away echo vocals that are barely keeping up with the slide guitar. Maybe it's the tom based low tempo rhythm, or they just really have really nailed this slightly 60's drug pop with a dash of pysch sound.
WOVEN BONES on the flip are a heavier version of this time warp...the guitar is harder, a real high screechy clipped distortion, almost Ty SEGALL sounding. There's a lot more effects on the vocals, almost shoegaze in the chorus reverb that has a really sloping decay. Great use of a wah-wah solo...haven't heard that sound used in a while. The bass is somewhere inside all this harsh overdriven treble sound and kind of works complimenting the guitar with this warm rumbly distortion underneath.

ROCK. Asheville, NC's JACUZZI SUICIDE features past & present members of many notable bands: Kakistocracy, Princess Thunderstorm, Ressurectum, Electric Damn, Hadaka Matsuri, Space Weed, Sports, Reagan's Bones, Bomb Threat, Weapons Of Massturbation, etc. This, however, sounds nothing like any of these bands. Imagine people from bands like these deciding to go outside of the punk spectrum & focus more on a Judas Priest, early Motley Crue kinda worship. Cowbells, falsetto vox, & guitar "solos". DIY stadium rock with a glam twist. Maybe you too could use some colours in your wardrobe.

NOISE-ROCK. Formed from Cody Votolato and Johnny Whitney of BLOOD BROTHERS as well as J Clark of PRETTY GIRLS MAKE GRAVES, Portland, OR's JAGUAR LOVE add heavy-duty glam moves and crunchy, addictive hooks to the mix on this debut full-length. Vinyl version includes free download of album.

INDIE-ROCK. Vincent Kircher, Austin Dutmer, Andrew Harris and Ryan Adams are a somewhat sneaky, rarely sleazy group of guys from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Together, they are JAILL, a self-described psych-pop combo who play with undeniable guts. In early 2009, the band released "There's no sky (Oh My My)", a 12-song LP (at just over 30 minutes) that is irresistibly catchy, moving, dirty, sarcastic, and new. Recorded nervously in the leaky basement of an old funeral home, with overdubs finished over a year’s time at home, "There’s no sky" caught the attention of Sub Pop, with stand-out tracks like "Always wrong" and "Beggar sincere". Recalling the glory of ‘90s lo-fi pop, these songs possess a sinewy tension honed from years of basement shows and a palpable, gritty rock sense born of enduring cold, cold Midwest winter months. Die 7 Stuecke klingen wie ein dreckiger Mix aus EYEHATEGOD, NEUROSIS und ISIS. Ein mehr als gelungener Soundtrack zur menschlichen Selbstzerstoerung.

Prior to "Post-Nothing" release, JAPANDROIDS released two 5-song EPs on CD-R. The EPs were limited to 500 copies and quickly fell out of print. The companion piece to "Post-Nothing", "No singles" compiles these two EPs into one album. Meticulous packaging designed by the band includes a 32-page booklet with liner notes detailing JAPANDROIDS’ early history, complete with rare photos and show fliers. The LP version of the booklet is 11”x11”.

GARAGE-ROCK. JAPANDROIDS (JPNDRDS) is a two piece band from Vancouver, BC. This ‘band’ started in 2006 as a creative outlet for the post-teenage angst of Brian King and David Prowse. As a consequence, JAPANDROIDS are one guitar, one set of drums, and two vocalizers. They call it Garage Rock. They don’t care what you call it, as long as it’s not minimal. DEATH/GRIND. "Bilder fressen Strom" contains 27 songs usually between 45 seconds and 3 minutes long and packed with great riffing, thick groove and an equally punchy, yet subtly improved production (compared to their last full-length entitled “Rauchen und Yoga”) to boot. A more important factor is that unlike on that one, awesome songs are no longer the exception to the rule, but instead JAKA seem to have found their old songwriting spirit again, albeit more Death Metal-oriented than ever before. Which means the tempo is a bit slower, blast beats are used only as complementary elements, heaviness and groove are more prominent, chaos less so.
