Thrashcore Bands spriessen ja mitlerweile wie die Pilze aus dem Boden, diese jungen Kids hier machen da eigendlich keine Ausbahme, allerdings haben wir es hier mit Kanadiern zu tun und spätestens seit South Park wissen wir ja das die doch etwas anders als die Amis sind. Klar, rasend schnellen Thrash mit Metal Einflüssen spielen ihre Labelkollegen Municipal Waste auch, DFA sind aber irgendwie besser, mehr rohe Energie, mehr Hardcore, mehr Power. Glasklare Produktion gibt es ausserdem und Coverartwork von Mike Bukowski, der ja mit Rambo und der neuen Locust schon ziemlich bekannt geworden ist.

PUNK. Essentially just vocalist Casey Royer surrounded by an ever-changing lineup of sidemen, D.I. got its start in Orange County, CA, in 1982. After honing his chops as drummer in the original lineup of SOCIAL DISTORTION, Royer put together D.I. and released their first self-titled EP soon after. 1985 saw the release of the follow-up, "Ancient Artifacts," which is considered by many to be their best work. Now available again on vinyl. If you like their hits ''Falling out'' or ''Hang ten in East Berlin'', here is where they are on!

PUNK. Classic album that satisfies from start to finish. Often confused with the Thrasher Mag skate-rock band DRUNK INJUNS, D.I. is a must for every record collection. In spite of many bands reforming to cash in on the punk revival, D.I. is also credited for being the only 80's punk band that never broke up and kept churning out discs. You can easily hear elements of TSOL and The VANDALS, just to name a few., very good sound, excellent example of the pure lineage of punk rock. This record is a killer and if you don't already have, hurry up! Limited to 500 copies!

PUNK. This record by Casey Royer teaming up with members of the ADOLESCENTS was originally released in 1989. It contains 9 great and melodic old-school Hardcore/Punk songs, among them ''Nuclear Funeral", "The Saint", "Richard Hung Himself" (originally by the ADOLESCENTS, "Reagan Der Fuhrer", and "Uncontrollable Urge" (originally by DEVO). The band turned a bit slower here and some of the songs are heavier and darker, but you still find some of those good mid-tempo songs. Now available again on vinyl.

PUNK. Shortly after punk rock band D.I. shot scenes for Penelope Spheeris's definitive Reagan-era punk movie SUBURBIA in 1983, a time in which the band the was still relatively new, Flipside Magazine filmed the group during one of their early practice sessions at Sherpa Studio in Fullerton, California. What comes through in the footage, as well as in a self-conducted interview also featured on this release, are the band members' surprisingly fun-loving and light-hearted personalities, which are in stark contrast to the weighty issues and anarchic overtones found in their music.

PUNK. Joe "Shithead" Keithley, Canada's godfather of Punk, has teamed with his cronies Floor Tom Jones (drums) and Dirty Dan Sedan (bass) for one of D.O.A.'s hardest-hitting albums yet. "Talk-Action=0" (not to be confused with the long-out-of-print 1991 live album "Talk minus action equals zero") is the band's lucky 13th studio album and sees them returning to their roots; initial reports have drawn comparisons to D.O.A.'s classic first two albums: "Something better change" and "Hardcore '81". There's plenty of what you would expect from the boys - power, politics and humor - with a few unique twists thrown in just to keep the punks on their toes.

HARDCORE. Originally released in 1991 and limited to a quantity of 200, this Japanese hardcore classic is now available again on vinyl with four bonus tracks. D.O.N.D.O.N. played traditional Japanese crustcore with metallic guitars and pummeling drums over eleven tracks on the "Last warning" LP.

The CD contains the entire "Dirty Rotten" LP along with tracks from the "Violent pacification" CD, rare, unreleased tracks from the recording session back in 83 at the legendary VATS. Also included will be live radio interviews from 1982 along with some live tracks that were broadcasted on KPFT in Houston back in 1982 when the band originally formed. To top it all off this CD features interactive capabilities with live footage taken when DRI played CBGBs for the first time back in 1983.

The band realized once they saw the prices on things that to do their 22 song 7" as a 12" would only cost a little more. So with that they did it and the "Dirty Rotten EP" became the "Dirty Rotten LP". With more space between the grooves the songs became even louder and more intense then before.

Once they perfected their new songs, they recorded the "Violent pacification" 7" which would be D.R.I.'s next release and done in conjuntion with M.D.C.'s label, R Radical Records. Now after being out of print for 26 years, Beer City Records is proud to reissue "Violent pacification" in its original 7" format.
