These guys play furious and energetic skatepunk like in the good 80s. If you like CIRKLE JERKS, BLACK FLAG or JFA you will love them! Bei B.U.S.H. handelt es sich um ein Bandprojekt von Leuten von POINT OF NO RETURN, I SHOT CYRUS und DISCARGA, die ihren ueberdrehten 80s-Hardcore bereits auf einer EP auf 625 verewigten. Rau und leicht chaotisch, mit keifender Stimme und ein paar melodischen Parts zwischendurch. Sehr punkig und leicht uffta uffta. Sechs Songs mit englischen Titeln, aber auf brasilianisch gesungen. Daher der exotische Touch. DICK CHENEY kommen aus Schweden und praesentieren ebenfalls schnellen und sehr eingaengigen 80s Boston-Hardcore mit rotzigen Vocals und schrabbelnden Gitarren, den sie aber mit dem typischem Schweden-Punkfeeling von fruehen HENRY FIAT'S OPEN SORE verbinden und der, im Gegensatz zu ihren Landsleuten, sehr tight und knackig daherkommt. Ebenfalls 6 Songs, einer davon auf schwedisch. Diese Scheibe ist auf nur 500 Stueck limitiert, kommt mit sehr schlichtem Cover und kopiertem Insert.

Das neueste Release auf Circulation Records. Und wie es bei vielen Bands aus dem Osten unseres Landes ueblich ist, gibt es hier wieder das totale Metalbrett. Unverkennbar ist der Einfluss von HEAVEN SHALL BURN. Schoene Melodien verpackt und unterlegt von Doublebass-Parts. Klar bringen auch BAAL nicht unbedingt was grundlegend Neues in die Welt des Metalcores, aber sie machen ihre Sache schon verdammt gut. Zur Aufnahme des Albums hat man sich in das Rape Of Harmonie Studio begeben und man muss sagen, die Jungs haben gute Arbeit geleistet. Die Produktion ist wirklich fett geworden. Auch das Layout ist ein wahrer Augenschmauss. Ich denke, BAAL koennen jeden HSB, NARZIß, IN FLAMES Fan ueberzeugen!

SKA. For nearly ten years now The BABBONZ are on the German and European SKA-scene, rocking bars and clubs, small and big stages leaving behind glowing and enthusiastic audiences. Three years after releasing "Too much is not enough“, the eight guys from Regensburg and Dietersburg, Bavaria, Germany, are back with their brandnew, third full-length album "Progress!?". 13 awesome songs somewhere between Ska and Reggae, Punkrock and Rock’n’Roll, Jazz and Soul, heaven and hell, simple and elegant, love and hate. Though not performing a single punkrock-song on this album, the BABOONZ are still a Punkrock-band playing SKA not fitting any scheme and not minding any conventions or rules. They found their own way through all the years and all the different styles of wonderful music generating their unique Ska-Baboonz-Style.

SKA-PUNK. Die BABOONZ sind ja so etwas wie die 'kleinen Brueder' von SCRAPY. Die neun Jungs kommen wie SCRAPY aus Bayern und vermischen ebenfalls Punk und Oi! mit verschiedenen Spielarten jamaikanischer Musik. 13 politische Songs bringen sie nun auf ihrer zweiten full lenght raus, die sich musikalisch irgendwie als eine Mischung aus Oi! und THE SPECIALS beschreiben laesst. Als Vergleich fallen da die schon erwaehnten SCRAPY oder auch ganz fruehe MONSTER ein. Tipp!

GARAGE ROCK. Rerelease of this 2007 album on red vinyl and limited to 500 copies. 'Chasing Rainbows' was the sound of a band with more musical guts than on previous albums. Clearly inspired by the BABY WOODROSE side-project DRAGONTEARS, the Danish trio expanded their sound and produced an album that is very different from earlier efforts. Not only because of the use of instruments like cello, lap-steel, flute and tablas. But also because 'Chasing Rainbows' was both their most poppy and commercial release AND their most experimental and druggy album so far. Psychedelic stuff with hints of JEFFERSON AIRPLANE, DOORS and wild guitars.

GARAGE ROCK. Rerelease of this 2003 album on limited colored vinyl. The haircuts of these three say it all. This is 60s and 70s Rock inspired Garage sound with influences of the Rolling Stones and The Who, the Animals and Hendrix and the super hits ‘You Better Run’, a Move-a-like rocker with incredible vocals, and ‘Carrie’, an eerie ballad reminiscent of the Super Furries. This record has this fuzzy flair from the Garage bands of that time, with that dirty edge to it, which at times almost smells of some not all that legal substances.

SKA-REGGAE. BABYLOVE & THE VAN DANGOS is a tight group of bonafide musicians and no matter if it’s live acoustic performances on Japanese television, cramped bars or bass booming festivals, this band always delivers their best. After more than 200 shows played throughout the 4 year life of BABYLOVE & THE VAN DANGOS, their soulful sound has earned them a place up with the top live acts on the ska scene. In the spring of 2004, this seven-piece outfit was formed in Copenhagen/ Denmark by lead singer Daniel ”Babylove” Broman to express the soulfulness of ska music. Less than three months later, this baby was already up and running wild on the Danish ska scene. After a year of song writing,BABYLOVE & THE VAN DANGOS recorded, produced and mixed their debut album ”Run run rudie”, which was released on the band's own label ”Lovers Choice Records'' and sold well so far. “Run run, Rudie” was re-released in 2007 by the international ska label Megalith Records. In February 2007, BABYLOVE & THE VAN DANGOS released a 7” vinyl recorded the classic way. One take, no cuts and lots of old-school feeling. The single called “Big big baboon” was released by Mad Butcher Records and features the amazingly talented Coolie Ranx (ex-TOASTERS, ex-PILFERS) from New York who brings his personal ”Rudeboy style” to the track. Now, they recorded their second album “Lovers choice” that has 14 brand new songs on it and features Doreen Shaffer from The SKATALITES and was mixed by the legendary Victor Rice from New York.

HARDCORE. Originally recorded in 2004 and delayed for years, "Hated By All" is the only formal release from Boston's BACK OF THA NECK, who play a hard, heavy beatdown style of hardcore with a modern edge, in the vein of BULLDOZE, DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR and HOODS.

Back When offer up four songs of brutal, energetic hardcore that is equal parts fast, technical, epic, and heavy. For fans of Examination Of The... before they headed down the Neurosis-style route. 4 songs.

DOOM-POST-HARDCORE. Sieben epische Songs, die es auf eine Laenge von 55 Minuten bringen. Eine wirklich geile Doom-Scheibe haben die fuenf Herren (von denen einer uebrigens bei der Jade Tree Kapelle STATISTICS spielt) hier fabriziert. Zu hoeren gibts Mammut-Riffs, fette Drums verbunden mit elektronischen- und sogar gelegentlichen Country Einlagen (wie zu Beginn des 4., gaenzlich instrumentalen Songs). Die Lieder fangen meist ruhig und elektronisch an, dann setzen leise Gitarrenklaenge ein, die Drums und der Bass kommen hinzu, die Spannung baut sich auf und dann kann es bei den einzelnen Tracks bis zu 4 Minuten dauern bis sich die leisen Spielereien in einen verzweifelten, heavy Sound verwandeln, um gleich wieder in einen ruhigen Part ueberzugehen. Uebrigens sind die elektronischen Elemente nicht nur eine blosse Draufgabe, wie bei vielen Doom-Bands, sondern ein integraler Bestandteil des Sounds. Die Band selbst beschreibt ihre Musik als ''RADIOHEAD meets NEUROSIS'', obwohl da eher weniger von RADIOHEAD rauszuhoeren ist, dafuer aber aeltere ISIS und CULT OF LUNA. Die doppelten Gesang/Geschrei-Parts erinnern etwas an die langsameren, doomigeren Stuecke von FROM ASHES RISE. Aufgenommen von Matt Talbott (HUM Saenger) und gemastered von Alan Douches (WEST WEST SIDE).

DOOMCORE / HARDCORE. BACK WHEN starten tonnenschwer mit dem epischen, 5-Minuten-Track ''Fraud of scribes''. Dieser bewegt sich zwischen ihrer ''Swords against the father'' 7'' und ihrem tollen neuen Album ''We sang as ghost'', hat eine Killer-Hookline und laesst, trotz aller Haerte, eine rockig melodioese Gitarrenlinie raushoeren. THE SETUP aus Richmond, Viginia, die mit ihrem Release auf Electric Human Project Records schon fuer Furore sorgten, starten vertrackter mit ''Anywhere...but Baltimore'', der sich zu einem treibenden und dynamischen Albtraum entwickelt. Was fuer eine unglaubliche Durchschlagskraft. Nicht minder kraftvoll ist das rockig treibende ''Way to be politics'', das erst zum Ende hin richtig aufdreht und beim Hoerer fuer verdutzte Blicke sorgt. Mit von der Partie ist hier uebrigens der Ex-LIGHT THE FUSE AND RUN Gitarrist. Kommt im tollen Faltcover, das von Jonathan Tvrdik gestalltet wurde. Tip!

HARDCORE. BACKFIRE have returned with a new album called "In harms way". Not too many hardcore bands last more than a couple of years and it is with this longevity of more than 12 years that has kept BACKFIRE as one of the leaders of the European hardcore scene, which has seen them through the hard times, yet still come out on top by playing numerous support tours with hardcore legends such as BIOHAZARD, WARZONE and MADBALL, release albums, that are a staple of many a hardcore kid's record collection, ultimately making them a force to be reckoned with within hardcore. "In harms way" is BACKFIRE's first album since 2003's classic "Change the game". Not much has changed stylistically as BACKFIRE still tread the same floorboards they always did, by playing aggressive New York influenced hardcore with a European touch incorporating subtle melodies here and there. Everything is there, the razor sharp guitars slashing from left to right, the armoured tank artillery, the collossal earhquake like basslines, all mixed with Patrick's signature vocals that spew forth lyrics of angst and frustration as we pass into a new year, which round everything off the way it should be, the BACKFIRE way!

NYHC. Formed in 1991, New Jersey's BACKLASH set out to play simple New York-style Hardcore influenced by BREAKDOWN, KILLING TIME and SICK OF IT ALL, and appeared on multiple 7"s and comps and played locally with bands like Murphy's Law, Leeway, Cro-Mags, Shelter, Life Of Agony, Ignite, Biohazard and more. This release compiles all of their studio material on two LPs, served up in a gatefold cover. Limited to 500 copies. 2xLP includes digital download.

HARDCORE. New York City played a central role in the development of Hardcore. Known for its aggressive, groove driven style, NYHC is often imitated but never duplicated. Aside from the legendary mainstays New York has been missing a band to wave the flag proudly for the city. BACKTRACK is this band. The band grew up in the streets of New York listening to these classic bands and have now begun to set themselves on the same legendary plateau. This ain’t no garden party, this is 6 songs of strong and authentic NYHC!

HARDCORE. Pressed for the first time on vinyl, the demo from Long Island, NY's BACKTRACK is the first glimpse at a band which heavily influenced by New York Hardcore bands of the late '80s and early '90s like OUTBURST, KILLING TIME and BREAKDOWN. This smells like the boys will have a bright future ahead.

PUNK ROCK'N'ROLL. Die BACKYARD BABIES veroeffentlichen ihren neuen Longplayer, mit dem epischen Titel ''People like people like people like us'' nun via Century Media. Das Album wurde von ihrem langjaehrigen Freund und Kollegen Nicke Andersson, von den Hellacopters, produziert. Im Gegensatz zu dem letzen Album besinnt sich das Quartett nicht nur soundtechnich sondern auch musikalisch auf ihre Wurzeln, dass Motto lautet: ''Back to the roots''. Insgesamt 10 Songs praesentieren die Schweden hier und allenfalls der Opener sowie der zweite Song koennen nicht so richtig ueberzeugen, ansonsten keine Ausfaelle! An die ''Killer'' Alben 'Total 13' (1997) und 'Stockholm syndrome' (2004) knuepft das neue Album zwar an, schafft es aber nicht diese zu toppen! Das Vinyl ist auf 1000 Stueck limitiert.
